West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona, Friday, August 22, 2014 Elisa F. Cruz, 79. of Tolleson died Aug. 17, 2014, in Tolleson. Mrs. Cruz was born Dec. 2, 1934, in Phoenix. She retired from nursing. She is survived by one son, James Roan; two daughters, Norma Melendez and Dianna Moya; five brothers; four sisters; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Holy Cross Catholic Mortuary, 9925 W. Thomas Road, Avondale. A funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at the same location. The Rev. Tony Chavez will officiate.
