RUIZ, Rosemary

Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona, Wednesday, September 10, 2014 Rosemary Ruiz, 86, of Yorba Linda, Calif. passed away at her home on Sept. 3, 2014. Rosemary, the daughter of Dionicio and Rosa Ruiz, was born and raised in Globe. She is survived by her brother, Frank Ruiz of Globe. She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Ignacio, David, Eusebio (Sam) and Nicolas (Nick); sisters, Epimena Navarro, Mary Albo and Angela Tewskbury; and lifelong friend, Ermalinda Diaz. Rosemary was a strong willed woman who started her own aerospace business in 1975 with Ms. Diaz at a time when the industry was dominated by men. She was recognized as an SBA Small Business Woman by President Ronald Reagan in a Rose Garden Ceremony in the late 1970s. Rosemary used the lessons learned from early life in Globe and her family to build her business and enjoyed sharing life’s blessings with her family. The funeral and burial will be in Yorba Linda, Calif. Donations may be made to Holy Angels Catholic Church in Globe.
