John W. "Jack" Bowser
Jack went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sept. 7, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Kitanning, Pa. on Sept. 12, 1933, where he lived until he joined the U.S. Army as a Radio Operator in 1954.
Following his honorable discharge, he returned home where he worked in various occupations, including as a guitarist in a band. In 1961, he married Renee. In 1971, they moved, with their five children, to Phoenix, where Jack was employed with the USPS until his retirement in 1992.
Jack was a gifted musician, and played guitar and sang at his church. He earned his private pilot's license, and enjoyed flying. In 1993, Jack and Renee moved to Prescott Valley where Jack worked as a truck driver for Ace hardware. Jack loved to be outdoors. He enjoyed prospecting with his son, Stephen, and hiking. Following Renee's death in 2004, Jack met Jann at church. They were married in 2006.
Jack was preceded in death by Renee and his brother, Tom.
He is survived by his wife Jann; his sister Barbara (Joe Kay); his five adult children, Samuel (Donna), Suzan (Kent), Stephen (Kim), "Johnathan" - A Dreamer, and Jesse (Becky); four stepchildren, Jerry (Bernadette), Jodie (Glenn), Todd (Lisa) and Tom (Jennifer); 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
