The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, Arizona Tuesday, September 09, 2014 Alan James Gassman, age 63, passed away August 14, 2014 in Cottonwood, AZ. He was born May 9, 1951 in Freeport, IL. Alan attended Freeport Schools and graduated from Western Illinois University with a degree in Business Management. He worked in the Midwest before moving to Sedona, AZ. where he worked for Wells Fargo Bank. Al later transferred to a position with the bank in Cottonwood, AZ. His body was cremated with his remains being laid to rest within the Columbarium at Grace Episcopal Church in Freeport, IL.
