Visitation will be Friday from noon to 1 p.m., followed by services at 1 p.m., at Zion Baptist Church, Winslow. Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow is handling the arrangements. ~~~~~~~~ Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow, Winslow, Arizona Johnnie Dunigan August 13, 1936 - September 06, 2014 Johnnie H. Dunigan , 78, died on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014 in Winslow. He was born in Jasper, Texas on August 13, 1936. He as a 1956 graduate of Winslow High School. After High School he moved to Pasadena, California and worked for the City of Pasadena for 32 years, retiring in 1987. He moved to St. Louis & Texas for a couple of years then moving back to Winslow in 1989. He married Jerutha Garrett on June 20, 1992 and began life in Winslow with their 2 sons, Kevin, Ricky. Johnnie also had a son, Howard Williams from a previous marriage. He is survived by his wife, Jerutha “Rita:” ; sons, Kevin, Ricky (Mariany); 6 grandsons, Javan of Portland, Oregon, Tevin of Winslow, Christopher of Phoenix, D.J. of Flagstaff, Jordan and Dominik of Tucson ; 1 grand- daughter, Rikkita of Pearland, TX; sisters, Elaine Bell Dunigan and Willie B. Toombs; brother-in-law, Jimmie Toombs; a host of nieces and nephews from CA, TX and OK. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Albert & Rillie Dunigan; brothers, Thomas, Maysaw and Bent; sisters, Gertrude Scott, Lula Mae Shane and Estella Booker; grandson, Angel. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM; Friday, Sept. 12, 2014 at Zion Baptist Church 500 Donnelley, Winslow, AZ. Rev. Wendell Carter, officiating. Mistress of ceremonies will be Mrs. Helen Mayberry. Viewing will be held one hour prior at the Church. Interment will follow in Desert View Cemetery. Repast to follow burial at Zion Baptist Church Dining Room.
