Sarah “Alice” Greear, 91, passed away peacefully at home with her
husband and granddaughter at her side, Sept. 6, 2014. She was born in
Danville, Ill. to Howard and Sarah Arnold July 26, 1923.
She married Robert C. Greear June 27, 1948. Her husband was in store
management with JC Penneys. They lived in Danville, Ill., St. Louis,
Mo., Hammond, Ind., Le Mars, Iowa and Indianapolis, Ind. They retired to
Lake Havasu City, AZ in 1986. She was a homemaker and avid golfer and
enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was a member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church, the Lake Havasu
Elkettes and American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband Robert; her daughter Lisa Gail Brangwin
and her husband Larry; her granddaughter Sara Jones and her husband
Anthony, their children Zane, Lexi, Skylar and Hannah; her two grandsons
Jason Brangwin and Shaun Brangwin and his wife Heather, their daughter
Alanna and step children Greerley and Damien; one sister in-law Marilyn
Greear and nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, in-laws, one brother Robert and
his wife Martha, and one brother-in-law, Richard Greear.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Sept. 11, from 9 to 10
a.m., with services at 10 a.m. at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home, 21 Riviera
Blvd.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Beacon of Hope Hospice or
Mount Olive Lutheran Church.
Arrangements were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home &
Crematory.
