Kathy Payne Brown, 67, a longtime Kingman resident, went home to be with
the Lord on Aug. 27, 2014. She was surrounded by her loving family. She
passed away from lung cancer at Kingman Regional Medical Center.
Kathy was born to Ralph and Anna Lee Payne in Kingman on March 13, 1947.
She grew up in Kingman and graduated from Mohave County Union High
School in 1965. She married the love of her life, Judson Brown Sr., on
Aug.26, 1965. Kathy was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her three
children, grandchildren, husband and anyone else who would let her.
Serving others was her passion. She was loved by many for her quiet
ways, kindness and big heart.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 49 years, Judson Brown Sr. of
Kingman; son Judson Brown Jr. of Kingman; daughter Kim Loftis (Dustin)
of Gilbert, Ariz.; son Chris Brown (Juliette) of Chino Valley;
grandchildren Katelyn, Cameron, Hunter and Abby; brother Ralph Payne;
sisters Sandra Spidell and Penny Payne; brothers-in-law Tom Waalkens,
Bill Howard (Gail) and Mark Evans (Donna); and sisters-in-law Becky
Scroggins (Ray), Patty Harris (Jack), Vicky Kelly, Linda Gilpin and
Gloria McGovern (Pat). She had 26 nieces and nephews who loved her
dearly. Kathy is preceded in death by a son, James Brown.
There will be a celebration of life followed by a luncheon at 11 a.m. on
Oct. 11, 2014, at The First Pentecostal Church of God, 4087 Eagle Drive
in Kingman. There will be a private graveside service for the family at
Mountain View Cemetery.
