KNEER, Christopher Joseph (Chris)


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Wednesday, September 12, 2014 Christopher Joseph Kneer of Paulden, Ariz., passed away on Aug. 6, 2014. He was born in Somerville, N.J., on Nov. 25, 1942. He leaves his only son Ron Kneer of Chino Valley, the light of his life. Chris was adventurous and talented. He loved nature, the mountains, desert and ocean beach. He was a master wood craftsman, creating and designing gazebos and one-of-a-kind doors. He had his own building businesses, one in Basalt, Colo., with his younger brother Guy. He was an artist, was ski patrol at Snowmass, Colo. He played guitar for 50 years and had a great singing voice, was in several bands through his life and loved to jam. Chris settled in Arizona 25 years ago. He was constantly amazed by nature's beauty wherever he went. Besides his son Ron, he leaves two sisters, Patt Kneer of California and Jill Kneer of New Jersey; a special niece, Sharron Parra, that he was close to in California; six nieces and nephews; and cousins. He will be remembered for his enthusiasm, love of children, older Volvos, his friendly way and his best gift in life, his son Ron. A private family service will be held.
