LaVonna Jean Bobo-Zehr, 81, passed away Aug. 31, 2014 at her residence.
She was born March 1, 1933, in Lodgepole, Neb. to Alvin and Eva Reed.
LaVonna was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Elkettes, Ladys of the Moose,
Western Welcome, and the Vagabounds RV Club. She enjoyed camping,
reading, shopping, bowling and playing pool.
LaVonna is survived by her husband of seven years, Jack E. Zehr of Lake
Havasu City; sons, Merle “Skip” (Thresa) Bobo of Phoenix, and Marty
(LuAnn) Bobo of Thorton, Colo.; step-son, Michael (Gayle) Zehr of
Hereford, Ariz., as well as five grandchildren, five great-
grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and four great-step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Merle Bobo; step-son,
Monty Bobo and sister, Laverna Darnstead.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m., Sept. 20, at Mt. Olive Lutheran
Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in
LaVonna’s memory to Hospice of Havasu.
Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home &
Crematory.
