The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 09/16/2014 Janella Jim entered into eternal rest peacefully Sept. 10, 2014, surrounded by loved ones. She was born June 11, 1968, to Johnny Rustin and Beatrice (Zahgotah) Rustin. Janella had a big heart, was an extremely generous person, loved everyone and accepted you as you were. She enjoyed playing, reading and being with her grandchildren. She had a passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles, playing her harmonica, writing in her journal, cooking, dancing and being outdoors. She had a “one of kind” sense of humor, was a unique individual and lived life to the fullest. Janella is survived by her mother, Beatrice (Zahgotah) Rustin; her only child, Samantha Jim Zahgotah; son-in-law Waylon Zahgotah; five grandchildren, Kania, Mariah, Delia, Waylon Jr. and Warren Zahgotah; five sisters, Josophene Alchesay, Rowena R. Daniels, Rogina Rustin, Jolena Rustin and Jackie Rustin; brother Bruce Rustin; brother-in-law: Gary Alchesay; sister-in-law Ursula Rustin; and 15 nieces and 16 nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, David “Bay Boy” Jim Jr.; father Johnny Rustin; and brother Elmer Rustin. A two-night wake will start at 10 a.m. starting Thursday, Sept. 18, at the Jim’s residence in Fort Apache. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at the same location, with an interment to follow at the Canyon Day Cemetery. Silver Creek Mortuary handled arrangements.
