John Edward Veon, age 77, a resident of Ft. Mohave, Ariz. went to be
with the Lord on Sunday, August 24, 2014 surrounded by his family.
John was born on May 23, 1937 in Darlington, Pa. to mother and father,
Anna and Edmund Veon. John was the youngest of four children. He grew up
on a farm in rural Pennsylvania and attended Darlington High School.
John worked at LTV Steel as payroll director until his retirement.
John was instantly smitten when he met Nancy. John and Nancy were
married on June 3, 1989. John and Nancy upon retiring moved to Ft.
Mohave, Ariz. He enjoyed watching his family grow.
John will be missed by all who has known him.
John is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Veon; daughters, Debra Lee of
Ft. Mohave, Ariz., Karen Rawding, Amy Kaylar, and Sue Williams, all of
Pennsylvania; son, John Veon, Jr. of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Ellama
and Betty of Ohio; many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren of
Ft. Mohave, Ariz. and Pennsylvania.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 27,
2014 at the United Methodist Church, 1593 Lipan Blvd., Ft. Mohave, Ariz.
Officiating will be Reverend Gene Stouffer.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the church.
