Peggy attended school in Snowflake until 1956 when the family ranch was sold and they moved to Mesa. It was there she attended the second half of third grade and completed her eighth grade year.
During this time the family purchased a ranch in House Rock Valley. They had many fond memories there and spent many summers together working the ranch. The family then moved to Show Low where she attended Lakeside High School in Lakeside and completed her junior and senior years.
Following her graduation from high school in 1965, Peggy attended the Lamson Business College in Phoenix and earned a degree in business administration. She held various positions and was well known in the lumber industry, having received many awards for her excellence. Peggy was an independent, hardworking woman who prided herself in being responsible and loyal.
Throughout her life, family always came first. She was affectionately known as “Aunt Pidge” to her many family members and friends. She was a natural born fighter having fought many years against the effects of brain cancer.
She most recently moved to Show Low to live with her sister, where she received the utmost care and comfort the last few years of her life. Peggy valued friendships and treasured the many friends she kept throughout her life.
She enjoyed rodeos, ropings and spending time with family. Her home was always open to family and friends.
