CARTER, Mary Lou

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, AZ, Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014 Mary Lou Carter went to be with the Lord at the age of 88 on September 24, 2014. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Sullivan, Indiana on July 24, 1926 to William and Pearl Savage. Her family moved to Arizona when she was a child, where she resided for the past 84 years. Mary Lou lived in Wickenburg, Arizona and proudly served on the Wickenburg City Council until moving to Peoria. She was an active member with her church and enjoyed volunteering her time for the church as well as Boswell Hospital. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her loving husband, David E. Carter a former Chief Deputy with MCSO. She is survived by her daughter, Davida Russell of Tennessee, her son, David (Anne) E. Carter, Jr. of Oregon, and daughter, Barbara (Doyle) Newton of Peoria, 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter. Family and Friends are invited to attend Funeral Services at 10 am Friday, September 26, 2014 at Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 W Thunderbird Rd, Peoria. Graveside Services will be held privately at the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery, Wickenburg, AZ.
