Silver Creek Mortuary, Taylor, Arizona Marjorie Whiting (October 7, 1923 - September 23, 2014) Marjorie Whiting, born October 7, 1923 to Lyman and Margaret Bates, passed peacefully on September 23, 2014. She was born and lived most of her life in Taylor, Arizona. She enjoyed art, especially painting. She loved music and her grandchildren most of all. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints, she served in many callings, including; teaching and three separate missions, one to Western Canada, one on the Navajo Reservation, and one in Salt Lake City, Utah for the Church Unemployment program. Marjorie is survived by 6 sons, 2 daughters and lots of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Rex Whiting and Her daughter Linda. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center, Taylor, Arizona. There will be a public visitation one hour prior to service.
