Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Sunday, September 28, 2014 - Joan E. Taylor passed away Sept. 19, 2014 at the age of 83. She was born May 11, 1931 to the late, Neutral and Pearl (Kissee) Mitchell. Joan was born in Roswell, N.M. She later married husband, John Taylor in Lynwood, Calif. July 1, 1950. She loved going to Laughlin, Nev. to gamble and playing bingo at the Elks Lodge. She was also an adoring fan of the Dodgers. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Joan is survived by her husband of 64 years, John Taylor, of Lake Havasu City; sons, Johnny M. Taylor, of Riverside, Calif., Ronald M. Taylor, of Vallejo, Calif., and Richard H. Taylor (Scott Blackburn) of Sylmar, Calif.; daughters, Cary Taylor (Nancy), of Murietta, Calif. and Sherry R. Wetherbee (Jon), of Irvine, Calif.; brother, Herbert Mitchell, of Whittier, Calif. and sister, Vinita Inger, of Lake Havasu City. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She will be sorely missed by her family and everyone who knew her.
