Kathie N. (Townsend) Hanacik, 65, entered into rest Sunday morning,
Sept. 28, 2014 at Hospice and Community Care in Mt. Joy, Pa. She was the
wife of William F. Hanacik for 30 years.
Kathie was born July 18, 1949 in Lebanon, N.H. The daughter of the late
Edward H. and Lois M. (Tashro) Townsend Dana.
She was an owner of two successful businesses and also worked as manager
for the tourism bureau at Lake Havasu City, was an executive secretary
for Mt. Olive Lutheran Church and manager of the Chamber of Commerce in
Northampton, Mass. Most recently she managed the York Art Association in
York, Pa. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in York, Pa.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, at Zion Lutheran Church
2215 Brandywine Lane, York, Pa. with the Rev. Janyce Jorgensen
officiating. Kathie’s family will greet guests during a time of
fellowship following the service.
Including her husband William, Kathie is also survived by four children,
Sean T. Leonard and wife Chrishelle of Orchard Park, N.Y., Todd C.
Leonard and wife Christine of Charlestown, Mass., Traci L. Provost of
York, Pa., Kimberly J. Himmelreich and husband Eric of Chicopee, Mass.
and a step-daughter Dawn A. Concepcion and husband Luis of Avon, Conn.;
eight grandchildren, Alexis, Caden, Landon, Ryan, Aidan, Seve, Victoria,
Ciaran and two nephews and a niece.
She was preceded in death by a brother David Townsend.
