Catherine Josephine Mierose, passed away Sept. 30, 2014 at the age of
91. She was born June 4, 1923, in Cedar Heights (Waterloo), Iowa to the
late Lola (Rockwood) and Jasper Lee Thompson.
She grew up in Waterloo and later moved to Garner, Iowa. She also spent
time living in Long Beach, Bellflower and Los Alamitos, Calif., before
settling 12 years ago in Lake Havasu City. She and her husband, Jerome,
were wed in Los Alamitos, Calif. in 1948.
Catherine was a sweet, loving, and understanding woman. She devoted her
life to making a wonderful home for her family, her church, and her
faith.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jasper and Lola Rockwood;
sister, Daisy; and brothers, Robert, Roland and Jesse.
Catherine is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Jerome Mierose
of Lake Havasu City, and sons, Clarence Kleinberg of Danville, Calif.
and Kenneth Kleinberg, of Lake Havasu City. She also leaves behind four
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home &
Crematory.
