William Thomas Bird Jr., age 71, of Lake Havasu City passed away to be
with the Lord on Sept. 25, 2014.
Bill played college football at the University of Nevada and spent many
years as a cement truck driver for Granite Rock. He spent time as a chef
in Reno, Nev. and as a butcher in Santa Cruz, Calif.
An avid outdoorsman, Bill was a member of fishing and game, the local
gun club, NRA and the Harley Davidson club. He attended New Hope Calvary
and gave generously to charities, having had a passion for S.O.S.
ministries and Gospel for Asia.
Bill loved conversation, meeting new people and sharing his love for the
Lord. On any given day, you could find him walking around town
frequenting the local shops or riding his Harley with his beloved pup,
Ollie.
A great storyteller, with a smile and laugh that was contagious, he was
loved very much and will be missed.
Bill is survived by his five daughters, Lynn Krenke, Stacy Bird,
Stephanie Lawson, Angela Bird, Erica Williams and one son, William
Joseph Bird.
A prayer celebration will be at 4 p.m. on Wednesday at New Hope Calvary,
3735 London Bridge Road. Please bring your stories and love to share
with the family.
“May you R.I.P. Dad, until we meet again...”
Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home &
Crematory.
