PATRICK, Thomas Bowie (Tom)

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 10/10/2014 Thomas Bowie Patrick, 61, died Oct. 3, 2014, at home after a long battle with cancer. His wife, daughters, mother, siblings and friends were able to visit and give him their love, thanks and memories before his passing. Tom was born in Richmond, Va., and moved to Arizona in 1956 with his mother and sister, Gwendolyn. He was able to move to the beautiful White Mountains in 1977 and lived in Lakeside for the rest of his life where he loved to camp, hike and explore. The beauty of the outdoors was always awesome to him and he was able to share that with his wife, Joan, his children and his grandchildren. He also loved to draw, play racquetball and fix things at his home and also for friends and family. Tom was a very loyal, loving man, calm and supportive through the challenges of life events. He was many peoples’ “rock.” Tom is survived by his wife, Joan Patrick; children Kellie and Leah Patrick; stepdaughters Rebecca and Tiadora Pearson; grandchildren Addie and Kevin; mother Sustana; three brothers and two sisters; and many beloved friends. A celebration of his life will be held Friday, Oct. 17, at the family home in Lakeside.
