Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona, Tuesday, October 07, 2014 Stanley McKee, 80, died Oct. 2, 2014, in Winslow. A memorial service will be held today at 10 a.m., at the Winslow Elks Lodge, 315 W. Third St. Greer's Mortuary of Winslow is handling the arrangements. ~~~~~~ Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow, Winslow, Arizona Stanley McKee September 27, 1934 - October 02, 2014 Stanley McKee rode off into the morning on October 2, 2014 with friends and family close to him in person or sprit. Stanley was born on September 27, 1934 in Ft. Sumner NM. Early in his life the family moved to Belen, NM where he grew up, attended school, played football, hunted, fished, and ran amuck. He met the love of his life Bobbie Shue and they were married on July 7, 1955. Stanley's family was completed on December 8, 1956 when their daughter Kim was born. Stanley worked for the Santa Fe Railroad and held many different positions during his 42 years, retiring from BNSF in 1995. As part of the job with the Railroad Stanley and Bobbie moved to Winslow were he enjoy the last years of his life. Stanley loved the outdoors and all that it offered from yard work to hunting, fishing, camping, golfing, cattle round ups, taking a drive to nowhere and back or just sitting and enjoying the day. Stanley was a life time member of the Elks and dedicated tons of hours working on the many charities. His passion was the Elks Christmas baskets. He loved collecting all the items needed to build them and the smiles on the faces of the families who he delivered to. Stanley is survived by his daughter Kim (David) their 3 children Rosalyn (Andrew), Steven, and Brandon; 3 great grandchildren Lauren, Andrew Jr., Layla and his companion of 9 years Jodie Fearing; 2 siblings Bob (Lynn) McKee and Sarah (Jim) Danner, many nieces and nephews as well as great friends. . He is proceeded in death by his wife Bobbie his parents, grandparents, and other loving family. If you knew Stanley even a little you would know he was a simple man, in his honor please wear jeans, boots and a nice shirt with your hat (if you would like) to the Memorial the will be on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at the Winslow Elks Auditorium 10:00am.
