EVANS, Shirley Norice

Arizona Republic (Phoenix AZ) Friday, June 14, 2013 Shirley Norice Hyde Evans, 77, of Black Canyon City, AZ passed away on May 25, 2013. She was born in Salt Lake City, UT July 7, 1935 and adopted in 1940 by John Milton and Helen Hyde. She graduated from Downey High School in 1953 and attended Ricks College. In 1955, she married Seth Parker Evans in the Logan Temple. She completed her AA Degree from Phoenix College. She worked as a secretary and had a business making wedding flowers and cakes. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions with her favorite calling being a Ward Organist (63 years). All who knew her will miss her music. Family members are Kevin Evans (Karen); Denise Copeland (James), Patricia Taylor (Ronald), Della Barnett (Barney), Patrick Natonie (Bessie), Mae Natonie, Mary White (Kee) & Rose Ann Bekay; 23 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Memorial services are on June 15th at 3:00pm at the LDS Chapel in New River, Arizona. Burial will be in Bayfield, Colorado on July 5, 2013.
