David J. Stone, 78, of Goodyear, AZ and formerly of Surprise, AZ died September 6, 2014 in Goodyear, AZ of a long illness.  He was born June 18, 1936 in Norwood, New York.  He retired from the US Air Force.  

He is survived by his wife Mary Lou; daughters Brenda and Margie Fitzgerald; sons Archie and Tom Fitzgerald; and three grandchildren: Ben, Paige, and Kati.  

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, September 12, 2014 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024.
