FITZ, Constance (Connie)

The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, Arizona Tuesday, October 07, 2014 Constance Sheldon Fitz 1949 - 2014 Connie passed peacefully in her Sedona home on Thursday, September 25, 2014 surrounded by family and friends. The daughter of the late William Timothy Sheldon and Marion Cronin Sheldon, she was born August 28, 1949. Connie was a graduate of Hudson Falls Central School and Hudson Valley Community College. She was employed by Dr. Oliver G. Hundelt as a dental hygienist for many years. She is survived by siblings Gail, Melville, William and Paul, all residents of New York. Also surviving are Mother in Law Dorothy Ann Larson, Father in Law William E. Fitz, Sisters in law Jean Fitz Harkey and Cynthia Fitz Anderson all of Arizona. In addition she leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Connie was attended to in her final days by husband Kenneth L. Fitz of Sedona, son William K. Fitz of Tucson, lifelong friends Lynne Measeck McCrann, Gail Finger Gore and Mary Pat Binetti Burns all of New York. The compassion and care given by Patty Moncibaez from Hospice Compassus, was in a word, amazing. Connie was beautiful, kind and generous. She will always be remembered for her gracefulness, sense of humor, and adventurous spirit. A celebration of life will be held at Indian Gardens Park on Saturday October 18, 2014 from 11:00am to 2:00pm.
