KIRKENDALL, Marilyn (Carole)

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 10/14/2014 Marilyn “Carole” Kirkendall, 72, died Oct. 2, 2014, in her home amongst family in Glendale. She was born Sept. 6, 1942, in Prescott and raised in Peoria. She also spent summers as a child with family in Prescott. She later had four beautiful children which were the love of her life. She found a program of recovery from alcoholism which started her on a whole new journey. She found she loved the White Mountains of Arizona, spending 20-plus years building a life for herself and her family. Being devoted to recovery she helped numerous people live a different way of life during her 33 years of continuous recovery. She is survived by her two daughters: Suzette (Stace) Cottrell and Tamora (Kevin) Van Driel (Kevin); two sons, Dallas Premer and Gary Kirkendall; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and brother Robert Marquess. A life celebration service and memorial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, at All Saints of the Desert Episcopal Church 9502 W. Hutton Drive Sun City, AZ 85351.
