John Hartin, the youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Hartin, died this morning of sore throat.  It was attended by Dr. J. N. McCandless, who insists that the disease is not a contagious one.  To allay any fears, however, he has ordered a quarantine of the family, two other members of it being sick, and the little one, just deceased, was buried this afternoon.

Transcriber's note:  His parents are John Carson and Hannah (Roberts) Hartin.  No place of burial has been found.
