LOPEZ, Rachel

Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Arizona Rachel Q Lopez (June 4, 1931 - October 14, 2014) Rachel Lopez went to be with the Lord on October 14, 2014 at her home in Flagstaff, AZ after a struggle with pulmonary fibrosis. She was a deeply loved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Rachel loved and served the Lord with all her heart and was dedicated to His service. She was loved by all she met and considered herself a servant of all. Rachel was born Raquel Quinones in Victoria, TX and later lived in California where she met her loving husband Bob. They were married in 1971 and moved to Flagstaff in 1994. Rachel spent time as a young lady working as a Candy Striper. She later received her degree in cosmetology and also worked in several doctors' offices as a medical assistant. She retired in 1991 and her caring nature continued in service to her family and church family. Rachel had a love for animals and pets to her last breath. She was God's helping hand in caring and feeding the neighborhood squirrels, cats and birds. Rachel is survived by her husband of 43 years, Bob Lopez. Also a sister Anne Mallicote, her husband Dale and their 4 children, sister Betty Kaminski, her husband Gene and their 2 children, a daughter Lisa Collier, her husband Clay, and 2 granddaughters, Cheryl Sudduth and her husband Josh, and Bree Newsom and her husband Brandon. Plans for a memorial service have not yet been finalized. Your thoughts and prayers are much appreciated.
