The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 10/17/2014 Melanie Merrill Wyckoff, 58, resident of Eagar, died Monday, Oct. 13, 2014, in Phoenix. She was born July 1, 1956, in St. Johns, the daughter of Grant Merrill and Dorthella Bigelow Merrill. Melanie was a homemaker, dedicated mother, always putting others before herself. She enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren, family time, the gospel of Jesus Christ, arts and crafts, antiquing, being in the mountains and in nature looking for arrow heads. She is survived by her husband, Darrell Eugene Wyckoff; sons Ike, Jake (Tabitha) and D. J. Wyckoff; daughter Michelle (Joe) Kish; brother Rocky (Karen) Merrill; sisters Tyla (Coman) Garvin, Marsha (Lenard) Johnson and Marla McCue; and 10 grandchildren. Melanie was preceded in death by her parents, Grant Merrill and Dorthella Staehlin; brothers Kaylin Crest Merrill and Gerick Ike Merrill. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at the Amity Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, School Bus Road, in Eagar. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at the Eagar Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Darrell Wyckoff, P.O.
