Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Saturday, October 18, 2014 - Elizabeth Louise (Neal) Malloch, 79, passed away peacefully Wednesday Oct. 8, 2014 at the Polidori Hospice House in Lake Havasu City. Born in Randolph, Maine July 20, 1935 to Earl L. and Grace A. (Lyons) Neal-Dill; Betty moved to Arizona in 2000, in favor of a warmer climate and to be closer to in-laws. Betty was an active member in her communities donating time to various functions including the food pantry, and deeply enjoyed being part of the fellowship at St. Michaels United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Robert Neal of Randolph, Maine; daughter, Barbara-Ann Layne of Gardiner, Maine; her loving husband of 27 years Bernard P. Malloch, originally from Eastport, Maine; and brother-in-law, Richard Malloch of Portland, Maine. Surviving are stepbrothers, Milton E. Dill of Melbourne, Fla., and Millard A. Dill and wife Mary of Abington, Va.; daughter, Rhonda S. Hawkins and husband Thomas of Mary-Ester, Fla.; son, Robert T. Layne and wife Lauri of Randolph, Maine; step-daughter, Rosemary Ricker of Naples, Fla.; brother-in-law, James Malloch and wife Jan of Lake Havasu City, and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty donated portions of her body to Science Care, Inc., to be used to help find a cure for Peritoneal Cancer, after which her ashes will be taken to her final resting place with her husband and cherished pup Jeri at the Desert Lawn Memorial Gardens, Mohave Valley, Ariz.
