McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Chapel, Safford, Arizona Rosie Torrez May 20, 1933 - October 20, 2014 Rosie “Nita” Torrez, 81, of Sierra Vista, AZ, passed away October 20, 2014 in Scottsdale, AZ. Rosie was born May 201, 1933 in Mesa, AZ to Jesus & Elisa Bernal. She attended school in Mountain View, CA. Rosie married Pascual Torrez and together they had four children; Freddy, Andrew, Kathy & JoAnn. She was a loving mother, housewife and nursery worker. She loved life and was always helping others. Rosie is survived by her children; Andrew and JoAnn Torrez, 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and brothers; Joe and Leonard Bustamante. She is preceded in death by her husband; Pascual Torrez, parents; Jesus and Elisa Bernal; son; Freddy Torrez, daughter; Kathy Acosta, sister; Helen Bustamante, and brother; Daniel Bustamante. A viewing and Rosary will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with the Rosary being led at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Safford Cemetery.
