Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Sunday, October 26, 2014 - Jacqueline Chew (Louiselle) Benson, 84, passed away Oct. 14, 2014 in Lake Havasu City. She was born March 12, 1930 in Charlevoix, Mich. to Niley and Louisa Louiselle. Jackie had a passion for travel and every trip always turned into an adventure; from zip lining in Cancun, to starting her hair on fire in Scotland or running out of a burning hotel in Las Vegas in her nightgown. She always brought the adventure to any vacation. She loved to sing Karaoke with all her friends at the Elks and American Legion, which led to the creation of a group, called “The Colleens”, with two of her closest friends. She also enjoyed making ceramics and jewelry in her free time that she shared with friends and family. She was a member of the Elks, Eagles, American Legion and the VFW. She moved to Lake Havasu City 14 years ago, coming from Anaheim, Calif., where she lived for 25 years. Everyone will miss Jackie deeply, as she always brought life to every event or gathering. Jackie is survived by her son, Ronald Chew; daughter, Sheryl Kimberley; partner, Gerald Rabb; grandson, Scott M. Chew; granddaughters, Erica Shirley and Rachel Allen; 14 great-grandchildren; special family, Michelle (Rabb) Uebflacker and Debra (Rabb) Moore. She was preceded in death by loved ones, Eldean A. Chew, Robert J. Benson, Barbara Kennedy and Robert Chew. Contributions can be made in her name to Hospice of Havasu.
