Patricia (Pat) Ann Wollman, 76, of Golden Valley, formerly of Acampo,
Calif., passed away surrounded by her family on Oct. 16, 2014.
She passed away in Las Vegas, Nev., at Nathan Adelson Hospice after her
courageous battle with lung cancer.
She graduated from Wagner High School in Wagner, S.D., in 1955. She
moved to Redondo Beach, Calif., where she started working for North
American Rockwell. Later she moved to Fountain Valley, Calif., where she
worked for the Costa Mesa Police Department and Mervyns.
She then moved to Acampo, Calif., where she transferred her Mervyns
position, and later to San Joaquin County, where she worked for many
years, retiring in April 2000. After retiring, she traveled the United
States with her husband, ultimately settling in Golden Valley.
Her love for being creative knew no bounds. She enjoyed sewing and
crafting and had extensive collections of many things.
She married her high school sweetheart, Garet, in Inglewood, Calif., on
Sept. 1, 1956. He was an active member of the Navy. They shared 58 years
together.
She is survived by her husband, Garet Wollman of Golden Valley; Kimberly
Pixley of Rancho Cordova, Calif.; Cindy Henschied of Costa Mesa, Calif.;
Michelle Roberts of Sunset, Utah; 16 grandchildren, Shawna, Matthew,
Brett, Emily, Brandon, Brody, Garet, Kelsey, Cambria, Irelend, Russel,
Makinah, Macey, Ryker, Payson and Malorie; and one great-granddaughter,
Jemma.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Peggy Wollman.
A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, Oct. 18, at St. Mary Catholic
Church.
A memorial celebration will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 24, at St.
Mary Catholic Church in Kingman, with a reception to follow.
The family is asking that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to
Nathan Adelson Hospice at www.NAH.org in her name, or your local
hospice.
She will be missed by all who were privileged to know and love her.
Pat's love of God and the church community was her life-long passion.
