Kathryn "Kay" Belle Chadsey, 81, a longtime resident of Ellensburg,
Wash., and recently of Kingman, died Oct. 1, 2014, at the Joan & Diana
Hospice Home in Kingman.
Kay Chadsey, daughter of Verna and Henry Johnson, loving wife of Carl
Chadsey, passed away after a battle with lung cancer.
She is survived by her husband, Carl, her brother Larry Johnson, her
sons Mark and Eric (with his wife Joy) and her daughters Kathy Tachell
(with her husband Jeff) and Shawn Fagalde (wife to Eddie).
She is also survived by six grandchildren - Kyle Frink, Zachary Tachell,
Kari Finney (residing in Washington), Megan Chadsey, Heather Chadsey and
Alex Chadsey (residing in Massachusetts), and one great-grandchild,
Destiny Frink (residing in Washington). Kay was predeceased by her son
Eddie and her granddaughter Shanna Fagalde.
As a stay-at-home mom, Kay raised her own children and also a myriad of
other young men and young women throughout the years.
She was also a foster parent, helping to raise dozens of foster
children. When bringing children into her home, she did all she could to
make sure that they had a loving and nurturing role model.
The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Oct. 25 at the Desert
Church of Christ, 2345 Gordon St. in Kingman, with a gathering for
family and friends following the service.
