Prescott Evening Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, October 12, 1946, page 1, column 5 Hold Funeral Rite For Earl Goodwin Funeral services were held at the Sacred Heart church at 10 o'clock this morning for Edward Earl Goodwin, who died Wednesday, following a long illness. Services at the church were followed by interment in Mountain View cemetery. Pall bearers, who were members of the sheriff's posse, and also of the Elks lodge, included: Charles Elrod, Lester Ruffner, Jr., Jack Fletcher, Quirieo Rezzonieo, Jack Cowan, Fred Crowell, Jack Wyly and All Favour. Mr. Goodwin was a charter member of the sheriff's posse and was also a member of the Elks. The Elks read their ritual at the grave, following church rites. Mr. Goodwin was born in Prescott January 25, 1915. He was owner of the Ensminger Drug Store and was active in many civic organizations, among them, the 20 - 30 Club, of which he was a charter member. He belonged to the Arizona pharmaceutical society. He was also a member of the Smoki People and served at one time as vice-president of the Prescott chamber of commerce. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mary E. Goodwin, a brother, George B. Goodwin, both of Prescott, and a sister, Mrs. Jack F. Hughes, of Albuquerque, N. M., who is here for a few days. Also surviving are his grandmother, Mrs. Jennie Burke, nearly 92 years of age, who lives with Mrs. Goodwin, and an aunt, Mrs. Jack Kraemer, of Marysville, Kansas, two nephews and a niece of Prescott.
