The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, February 1, 2005 John Bodie, age 75, died Jan. 28, 2005, in Prescott, Ariz. He was born May 22, 1929, in Gantt, Ala., to Olen and Nora (Money) Bodie. John was retired from the U.S. Army. He taught ROTC in Florida for 10 years. John worked for Reynolds at the Nevada test site as a Microwave Technician for eight years. John is survived by his wife, Mary; daughters, Dian (David) Luchsinger, Sonia Bodie (Dean) Noble; sons, Scott (Billie) and Mark (Tiffani) Bodie; grandchildren, Tanya and John Luchsinger, and Cayla Noble; sisters, Betty Hassell and Sara Clark. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005, at Sunrise Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott Valley, Ariz. A Service in Honor of John will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005, at the VA Chapel in Prescott, with Chaplin Jack Unangst officiating. Burial will take place at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, in Phoenix, Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005, at 1:30 p.m., with Military Honors by Ft. Huachuca Honor Guard. The family suggests memorial contributions in John's name to VA Hospice at the Veterans Medical Center in Prescott, Ariz.
