Tony White Sr., formerly of Coffeyville, Kan., passed away peacefully in
Kingman on Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, at the age of 71.
He was born Jan. 4, 1943, to Roy and Nellie (Watts) White in
Coffeyville, Kan. He attended Coffeyville schools.
He had one brother, Larry White, one sister, Genyth Rexwinkle, and a
stepfather, Woodrow W. Chouteau.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1960 to 1964.
He worked at Topeka Foundry and Iron Works in Topeka, Kan., from 1964-
1975. He retired from John Deere Coffeyville (Funks) in 2002 after 25
years of service and moved to Kingman.
In Coffeyville, he was a past commander of the American Legion Post 20
as well as a member of the Masonic Lodge and Veterans of Foreign Wars
Post 1022.
In Kingman, he was a member of American Legion Post 14, Loyal Order of
the Moose Lodge 1704, Elks Lodge 468, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie
3744, VFW Post 3516, Keystone Lodge 102, Scottish Rite, York Rite and
Mirza Shriners.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Peggy (Newton) White of the
home; a son, Tony White Jr. of Topeka, Kan.; a daughter, Amanda Seigel
of Coffeyville; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
