MARTIN, JR., Noah


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Saturday, November 01, 2014 Noah Martin Jr., 88, of Chino Valley, Arizona, passed away on Oct. 26, 2014. Noah was born Nov. 10, 1925 in Fort Reno, Oklahoma, the oldest of three children. He was the son of the late Noah Martin and the late Erma (Sells) Martin. He served his country in the military for 20 years, first in the U.S. Navy and then in the U.S. Air Force. When he retired from the military in 1963, he had attained the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. One of his primary positions was serving as an aircraft maintenance technician. Noah settled in Tucson, Arizona when his military career ended, working in maintenance at Kitt Peak Observatory. He eventually moved to Chino Valley in 1980, where he resided for the past 34 years. There he worked at the high school in maintenance and drove a school bus until he decided to retire. Noah is survived by his daughters Lynn Marie Korff and Laura Reaves; son Bill; stepdaughter Debi Bartling; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Information provided by survivors.
