Mom left this world on Oct. 22, 2014 at the age of 96, to receive her reward as a faithful servant.
She was preceded in death by her faithful husband of 73 years, Bill, who died Oct. 5, 2008; a son, Gary; and by two brothers, Roy and Chub Brooks.
She is survived by her son, Danny Hunt of Payson; a brother, Doug Brooks of Joplin, Mo.; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Born Sept. 29, 1918 in Erie, Kan., Ruby was raised in Joplin, Mo. and moved to Phoenix in 1951. While in Phoenix, she was the cafeteria manager at Orange-wood Elementary School. After retiring in 1985, Ruby and Bill moved to Payson.
Friends are warmly invited to join the family for the viewing and funeral service on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014 at 10 a.m. in the Church of Christ, 401 E. Tyler Parkway in Payson.
