The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Thursday, November 06, 2014 Betty Jane Turk On Oct. 26, 2014, Betty Jane Turk left this earth to be with her Lord and Saviour. Betty was born in Alliance, Ohio on March 16, 1924, to Melvin and Thelma Barcus. She was married to the love of her life, Art Turk on Sept. 4, 1943. They moved to Phoenix with their two sons, Bill and Ken, in 1957. In 1990, Betty and Art moved to Prescott, Arizona. Betty was a member of Sunnyslope Christian Church and Prescott Christian Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Art of 69 years, in 2011 and their son Air Force TSgt William Turk in 1982. She is survived by her son Kenneth (Pamela) of Mesa; six grandchildren, William Turk (Willy) of Phoenix, Cynthia (Jose) Yepez of Austin, Texas, David Turk of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Devin Turk (Ash-Leigh) of Melissa, Texas, Paul Turk of Lubbock, Texas and Aaron Turk of Mesa; four great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Betty will be missed by friends and family. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. on Nov. 8, 2014, at Resthaven Cemetery, 6450 W. Northern Ave., Glendale, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, Betty asked that donations be made to your favorite charity. Legacy Funeral Home assisted the family. Information provided by survivors.
