EASTGATE, Larry Lamar

Springfield News-Sun (Springfield, Ohio) Sunday, November 9, 2014 Larry Lamar Eastgate, 74, of Black Canyon City, Arizona passed away on Friday, October 17, 2014 after numerous years battling COPD and Sleep Apnea. He was born March 29, 1940 the son of Robert L and Mary E Eastgate in Springfield, Ohio. Larry spent 8 years serving his country in the United States Air Force. Larry resided in Black Canyon City for the past 33 years. He retired from Cox Communications September 30, 2005 with 24 years of service. His survivors include his wife, Roberta of Black Canyon City, Arizona; one daughter, Robin Lynn Blanke; two granddaughters, Susan Blanke and Erin Blanke of Flagstaff, Arizona; one sister, Sue Eastgate of Springfield, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews in Ohio. He was preceded in death by both of his parents. Graveside services were held on Friday, October 24 in Black Canyon City Municipal Memorial Cemetery in Black Canyon City and his Celebration of Life was held on Saturday at 4pm at the Black Canyon Community Church. Both services were officiated by the Rev Michael Ezell. The family was served by the Best Funeral Services of Peoria, Arizona.
