Charlie ‘Chaleco’ Hernandez
Charlie Hernandez, also known as “Chaleco,” went home with the Lord on Nov. 3, 2014. Born in Miami, Ariz., he was a long time resident of Superior and Miami.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers. Charlie served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for a local mine company and had a barber shop in Superior.
He is survived by his aunt, Lucy Rojas of Miami; sister, Margaret Flores of San Bernandino, Calif., Irene Smith of Tacoma, Wash., and Patricia Baker and Carol Williamson both of Palm Desert, Calif.; his beloved children, Ricky, Lucia, Christopher Hernandez of Phoenix; his wife, Gloria Hernandez and their children Angel, Amelia, Gabriel, and Anita of Superior; many grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews who all love and miss him very much.
