The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona Wednesday, November 12, 2014 Ardean A. Casey, age 94, of Port Edwards, Wisc., died Nov. 2, 2014, at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home, Port Edwards, Wisc. A celebration of Ardean’s life was held at Bull’s Eye Country Club in Wisconsin Rapids on Nov. 8. Private family graveside services will be held. Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids is assisting the family. Ardean Edwards Alexander was born Oct. 7, 1920, in Chicago, Ill., to John E. and Dorothy (Dean) Alexander. She graduated from Northwestern University on June 15, 1940. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Kappa Kappa Gamma. Ardean married Samuel Alexander Casey on Nov. 7, 1942, in Port Edwards, Wisc. He passed away on Oct. 15, 1992. Ardean was a member of the Port Edwards United Methodist Church, Tuesday Club, S&R Club, Four Seasons Hospital Auxiliary, Bull’s Eye Country Club, Los Caballeros Golf Club, Desert Caballeros Western Museum, Wickenburg Health care Foundation and the Alexander Charitable Foundation. Ardean is survived by one son, John Alexander (Cornelia) Casey; two daughters, Suzanne Casey (George) Kupper and Page Casey (Richard) Clark; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and sisters, JoAnn (Charles) Lester and Paula (Robert) Keller. Ardean was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Doris (Gerard) Veneman and Marcia (Tom) McCormick. Memorials may be designated to the Riverview Hospital Foundation or the Port Edwards United Methodist Church. The Casey family would like to thank the staff at Edgewater Haven for the compassionate care given to Ardean.
