he Courier, Prescott, Arizona Monday, October 3, 1983, page 10a Vernon Lamar Zettler Funeral services for Vernon Lamar Zettler, who died Oct. 2, 1983, at the VA Medical Center in Prescott, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, in the Ash Fork Elementary School in Ash Fork. Mr. Zettler was born March 12, 1918, in Humboldt and had lived in the Prescott vicinity all his life. He owned and operated Zettler's Market in Ash Fork from 1945 to 1983. Mr. Zettler was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Army. He was a member of the VFW Post in Williams and the American Legion Robert Fulton Post in Ash Fork. Mr. Zettler is survived by his wife, Margaret; a daughter, Monica James of Phoenix; a sister, Dorothy Brown of Glendale; a brother, Harold Zettler of Williams and a granddaughter, Shaunna. Military graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in Mt. View Cemetery in Prescott with the American Legion Post 40 of Chino Valley officiating. Memory Chapel Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
