Robert E. Krier, 85, of Holland, Michigan (formerly of Prescott Valley, Arizona, and Elburn, Illinois), passed away Sunday, Nov. 2, 2014, at Tender Care Health Center in Holland.
Robert served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII. He was a Commandant of the Marine Corps League in Prescott Valley, Arizona, and was very involved in the Toys for Tots program. He also was a pilot in the Civil Air Patrol in Prescott, Arizona. Robert was a member of the Lions Club in Elburn, Illionois, and served as President of the local AFL/CIO Chapter in Elmhurst, Illinois.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife Lieselotte and brother Charles Krier.
Robert is survived by his daughter Robin and her husband Jim Kolberg of Hamilton, Michigan, and his three grandchildren, Arielle, Joshua and Jordan.
A memorial service with military honors is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State St., Zeeland, Michigan, with the Rev. Burton Bolt officiating.
