Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Thursday, November 20, 2014 - Patricia Ann Mordue, age 89, passed away Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014 in Lake Havasu City. Pat was born July 28, 1925 in Benton Harbor, Mich. She is the daughter of the late Neil and Alice MacNeven. Pat was raised in Flint, Mich., and summered in Houghton Lake, Mich. She had a love for the lake and enjoyed many years of swimming and fishing at their family cottage. In 1946, she married the love of her life, Ted. They raised three children together, and in the summer of 1973, moved to Lake Havasu City, where she pursued a career in the hospitality industry. Pat was an avid reader, never without a book in her hand. She enjoyed dancing to big band sounds, swimming, puzzles, Jeopardy, and the monthly gambling trip to Laughlin. In her later years, she and her daughter enjoyed watching Lawrence Welk together on Saturday nights. Pat leaves behind her daughter, Lori Kirkwood of Lake Havasu City; sons, Rick (Randi) Mordue of Prudenville, Mich., and Randy Mordue of Houghton Lake, Mich. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great- grandchildren, with one other on the way. Pat is preceded in death by husband, William "Ted" Mordue; parents, Neil and Alice Mac Neven; and brother Howard Mac Neven. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hospice of Havasu.
