Silver Creek Mortuary, Taylor, Arizona Wilma White (August 16, 1920 - November 17, 2014) Wilma White, age 94, of the community of East Fork in Whiteriver, AZ passed away November 17, 2014 in Show Low, AZ. During her younger days she attended the Theodore Roosevelt School. She worked as a cotton picker at various places, she also worked under a NYC employment program. They use to clean up communities, cutting or trimming trees. Her hobbies included beading and making barrettes, necklaces and key chains. She also made burden baskets and cradleboards. Her favorite one was planting corn, squashes and sugarcane. Most of all she went to camp meetings at R-14 every summer throughout her Christian life. She is survived by one sister Alberta White; four nieces Joyce Yazzie, Merceleen Bond, Jennifer Quintero, June Palmer and one nephew Herbert Cheney Jr., 29 grandchildren and 47 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended families. She is preceded in death by parent Rose and Gerald White; sisters Annie Bond, Flora White, Nancy White; brothers James White and Lincoln White. A wake will be held in her honor on Wednesday, Nov. 26th at 11:00 AM at 27 Coyote Springs Rd. East Fork, Whiteriver, AZ. Funeral Services will follow on Friday, Nov. 28th at 1:00 PM at the Whiteriver Assembly of God Church with Pastor Jimenez officiating. Interment will be at the Dove Street Cemetery in East Fork.
