Burnham Mortuary, Saint Johns, Arizona James Loran Stock September 23, 1925 ~ November 12, 2014 James Loran Stock, 89, passed away, Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at his home in Springerville. He was born September 23, 1925 in Tucson, Arizona, the son of James Edward and Kindness Nelson Stock. James served his country in the United States Marine Corp. from 1943-1948 and worked for the Mountain Bell Co. retiring in 1983. He was a WWII Veteran and served in the Pacific Theater. James was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing. James was a hardworking man and loved life. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. James will be greatly missed. James is survived by his sons, James Randall Stock, Mesa; Derrill Allen Stock, Springerville; daughter, Colleen Stock Wensel, San Antonio, Texas, brother, Nelvin Stock, sisters, Elsie Stock Jarvis, Lathelan Stock Pidge, 14 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Zufelt Stock, son, Terrell Keith Stock, and siblings, Viola, Jane, Olive, and Vaughan. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mesa, Arizona Lehi Stake Center, Hillside Ward, 1430 N. Grand, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow the funeral services at the City of Mesa Cemetery.
