SIMPSON, Jack Eugene


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Wednesday, November 26, 2014 Jack Eugene Simpson On Nov. 16, 2014, Jack Eugene Simpson went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, after a 14-month illness. He was born Nov. 9, 1930, in Birmingham, Alabama. Jack went to Fairfax High School in Fairfax, Virginia. He loved playing football and was the quarterback and captain of his high school football team. After high school, Jack immediately went to work building his career in the automobile industry. He married a few years later and raised his family. He was active in his church, sang in the choir and did whatever needed to be done. He was dedicated to his family and his business. He was the owner of Columbia Foreign Car Service in Phoenix, Arizona. After retiring from business, Jack and Alice moved to Prescott, Arizona in 2003. Living in Prescott had always been Jack's dream. Jack loved hiking, traveling and fishing. All of us, whose lives were touched and enriched by him, will miss him terribly. He had a wonderful dry sense of humor, a big heart and was a wonderful husband and father. He is survived by his wife Alice J. Simpson; his children Beverly Joy Cook, Andrew Simpson (Abbie), Victoria Jean Simpson, Jonathan Simpson (Maria); eight grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters. A Celebration of Life service will beat 11 a.m. Dec. 1, 2014, at American Lutheran Church, 1085 Scott Drive, Prescott, Arizona. Any memorials may be gifted to American Lutheran Church.
