STECKEL, Clyde Morton


Kentucky Enquirer (Cincinnati, Ohio) Thursday, March 27, 2014 Clyde Morton Steckel, 90, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2014 in Tulsa, OK. Born June 15, 1923 in Covington, KY he lived his life in Northern KY until he moved to Tulsa with his wife, Betty, 2 years ago. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in October 2013. He was actively involved in his church, Erlanger United Methodist, until declining health no longer allowed it. He was a recipient of the highest honor of the church, The Mayo Taylor Award. He was president of the Methodist Men for 5 years. His willingness to help anyone at any time, and his endless supply of jokes, made him a favorite in his personal and church families. Clyde is survived by his wife, Betty of Tulsa, his daughter Sue Steckel, of Florence, his son and daughter-in-law Terry and Marcia Steckel of John's Island, SC, daughter and son-in-law Debbie and Guy Martin of Tehachapi, CA, and daughter and son-in-law Sandy and Mike Graham of Wickenburg, AZ, as well as 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 nephews and their families, and many extended brothers- and sisters-in-law.
