Lois H. Colvin, 89, passed away in Mesa, Ariz. on Nov. 12, 2014.
She was born in Stillwell, Okla. to William and Margaret Hannah.
Lois married Beal H. Colvin on May 25, 1941 and they were married for 68 years before his passing. Lois lived most of her life in Claypool, Ariz., where she raised two sons and one daughter.
Lois was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Beal, and her mother and father.
Lois is survived by her sister, Lavida Seminara; son, Gary L. Colvin who is married to Suzan of Chicksha, Okla., son, Wesley E. Colvin who is married to Kristina of Tucson, Ariz., and daughter, Priscilla A. (Colvin) Covey who is married to Clay of Pleasant Grove, Utah. Lois is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and various nephews and nieces. Lois and Beal served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in South Africa which they loved dearly.
Lois was a true servant of our Heavenly Father and never let an opportunity to serve others pass her by. She and her husband served in the LDS Arizona Temple for years after retirement.
She will be missed by many with sweet memories of her life here on earth.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 28, 2014 at noon at the LDS Church located at 800 West Chandler Blvd, Chandler, Ariz.
Visitation will be at 11:30 a.m. prior to the funeral and interment. Graveside services will be immediately following the service at Valley of the Sun Cemetery, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Road, Chandler, Ariz.
