Heritage Memory Mortuary, Prescott, Arizona Samuel Tsosie Sr. age 91, departed this life on Sunday November 23, 2014 in Prescott AZ. He was born on Friday May 18, 1923 to Balone Begay. Sam served in the United States Marine Corps, with the 1st Marine Division with 2nd Battalion 5th Navajo Code Talker, with service in the Pacific theater, Sam also worked with the Public Health Service in Winslow for 40 years and retired from Indian Health Service. He is preceded in death by his wife, one son, and two daughters. He is survived by Dorothy, Gary, Francis, Loretta, LaVerne, Samuel Jr., and Caroline. Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 10:30 am Wednesday November 26, 2014 at the Prescott VA Chapel at 500 N Hwy 89 Prescott AZ. Interment with military honors will follow at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona at 23029 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ Services entrusted to Heritage Memory Mortuary, Prescott AZ.
